COLUMBIANA

— Officers responded to Lakeview Drive after a report of a woman refusing to leave a residence and causing a disturbance at 8:58 p.m. Sunday. She left prior to an officer’s arrival but went back to the residence a short time later where an officer located her beating on the door and yelling. The woman was found heavily intoxicated, transported home and released to her mother. She was warned for public intoxication and criminal trespassing.

— An officer was dispatched to Sparkle to take a report of a hit/skip in the parking lot at 3:38 p.m. Sunday.

— Ross Chaplow, of Columbiana, was arrested on a warrant out of the sheriff’s office at a residence on West Park Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

LISBON

— A man called at 8:49 a.m. July 20 to say his daughter had run away from home and he was chasing her down Saltwell Road. Police arrived to find the father had caught up with the daughter near the state Route 45 intersection. He was told to contact the county sheriff’s office since the incident began in its jurisdiction.

— Police were called to a possible domestic dispute at 255 W.Washington St. at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, and the woman there said they had been drinking and arguing over finances. She said as the male left she began throwing his things into a dumpster. The man said he was going to sleep in his car for the night.

— A caller reported a woman at Greentree Place had taken a baseball bat to her boyfriend’s vehicle at 12:25 p.m. Sunday, and she had a firearm on her hip. The 911 call turned out to be bogus.

— Police were called to a possible domestic dispute at 332 Maple St. at 4:41 a.m. Saturday. The couple said they had been arguing and alcohol was a factor, but no one was assaulted.

— A report was received of a car that had fallen from a tow truck at 2:20 p.m. Friday. The car was being towed to JMullen Motors for repairs and was now sitting across the street in the Save A Lot parking lot. The straps were still in place when the car fell.

— Police responded to a possible domestic dispute at 334 E. Lincoln Way at 6:43 p.m. July 20. Although the woman alleged the male grabbed her by the throat, she declined to press charges.

— An official at the Kendall House reported July 20 some narcotics were located on the premises and wanted them removed. Police confiscated a small bag with suspected marijuana residue found in the lawn.

GOSHEN POLICE DISTRICT

— Lanie Cherie Border, 16, Minerva, was cited of failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 7600 block of Salem Unity Road at 6:53 p.m. July 10 in which she was westbound and lost control of her vehicle, spinning off the right side of the roadway into a guardrail and coming to rest in a group of trees. She was treated on scene by Green Township EMS.

— Police responded to West South Range Road near Green Beaver Road at 10:24 a.m. July 19 in reference to a one-vehicle crash in which the driver was westbound and traveled off the north side of the roadway, going into a culvert, over a private drive and back into a culvert before coming to rest on a field. The driver of the vehicle is unknown.

— Stella Waugaman, 60, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a a two-vehicle crash in Damascus at 2:48 p.m. July 20 in which she was westbound and failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle stopped to make a left-hand turn. No injuries were reported.

— Brooke Arianna Quales, 21, Ridgewood Drive, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Salem Unity Road at 6:30 p.m. July 20 in which she was westbound and failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle that had slowed for a left-hand turn. Her vehicle pushed the other vehicle into a ditch on the south side of the road while she struck a mailbox on the north side of the road and came to rest in a ditch. No injuries were reported.

— L C Calwill Martin, 72, Cleveland, was cited for driving under suspension and two brake lights required following a traffic stop on state Route 165 near state Route 14 at 10:38 p.m. July 23.

— Dwight E. Smith, 56, East Oregon Avenue, Sebring, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 62 near Western Reserve Road at 7:54 a.m. July 24.

— Benjamin Allen Kirk, 23, Hartzell Road, North Benton, was cited for no motorcycle license and speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 14 near Seacrist Road at 9:02 p.m. July 24.
