— The president of the county airport authority board reported July 23 they became aware of a drag-racing event being advertised on Facebook as being held at the airport on Aug. 15-16. The board was not aware of the event, nor would it ever gives its approval. The “Ohio versus The World” event was being cosponsored by D Team Racing and Ohio Grudge Racing. A deputy spoke to one of the sponsors, who said he was told the board had approved use of the airport. After being told otherwise, the event was canceled and removed from social media.

— Deputies were called to a landlord-tenant dispute at a house trailer at 11170 state Route 45, Elkrun Township, at 12:37 p.m. Thursday. The deputy acted as an intermediary but to no avail, so he told the parties this was a civil dispute.

— A caller reported someone was looking in a window in the 12000 block of state Route 164, Wayne Township, at 11:34 p.m. Sunday. Deputies searched the area on foot but did not come across anyone.

— Chad Brewer was taken into custody on an arrest warrant following a traffic stop on Old Route 154, Rogers, at 11:33 a.m. Thursday. Brewer was a passenger, and suspected drug paraphernalia was found under his seat.

— A resident at 32459 Wooddale Drive, Hanover Township, called with a prowler complaint at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies checked the area but did not found anyone about.

— A deputy performed a welfare check on state Route 165, Unity Township, at 8:54 a.m. Thursday. The man there said he was fine and was just upset over his health care coverage through the VA.
