FIRE REPORT
SALEM
— Firefighters were called at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday to the 1700 block of Maple Street for an oven fire, finding the occupant had evacuated the house and was in the front yard. Upon entry, there were light smoke conditions. There had been a fire in the oven while cooking, but the fire was out and all burners were off. An electric fan was used to remove smoke. The occupant was told to thoroughly clean the oven before using it.
