SALEM TWP.

— A resident of the 37000 block of Butcher Road reported that someone removed the Trump For President sign from her front yard.

— Over the past month of so, numerous calls have been received by this department and the sheriff’s office for an elderly male with the beginning stages of dementia walking around several local roads, including Miller, Lisbon, Leetonia and state Route 344. Law enforcement officers and area neighbors have had to take the man home numerous times. The family is aware, and a referral was made to Adult Protective Services, which was rejected as he did not meet criteria for service, according to a report filed 8:21 p.m. Friday in Miller Road.

-A caller from the 2500 block of Lisbon Canfield Road reported at 5:33 p.m. Thursday that someone entered his barn and shuffled some items around; however, nothing appears missing at this time.

— A child, who wandered off shortly before 6:17 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Highland Avenue, was found safe.

— A city couple reported at 7:57 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East Perry Street that they were the victims of road rage by a neighbor.

— Joshua C. Dean, 39, of East State Street, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East State Street on a charge of open container, after a traffic stop. Police observed the contraband in plain sight, confiscating and disposing of it.

— Burning complaints were investigated at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of West Pershing Street. The person was told to remove wood siding that had been put in the fire, which was causing the black smoke.

— A warning about a barking dog was issued at 10:11 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Ohio Avenue.

— Possible shots were fired at 10:14 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East Pershing St.

— Prismalirn Medina Vazquez, of Youngstown, was cited at 11:27 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of North Lincoln on a charge of no operator’s license and given a verbal warning for a marked lanes’ violation.

— Hallie A. Fitzelle, of Alliance, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. Sunday in the hospital parking lot on a charge of disorderly conduct.

— A cellular phone was recovered Saturday in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue and turned over to police.

— A mother-daughter dispute ws reported at 4:04 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East 8th Street.

— Police assisted a child in distress, who fell off his bicycle and scraped up his toes and ankle at 3:57 p.m. Saturday. Officers called a family member from the 700 block of North Ellsworth to come comfort him.

— An unruly juvenile was reported at 7:43 a.m. Friday in the 1400 block of East State Street,.

— A 16-year-old Butcher Road juvenile was cited at 10:56 a.m. Friday for failure to yield while making a left turn at Second and Ellsworth.

— An officer responded 12:43 p.m. Friday to Walmart to investigate a pedestrian-vehicle accident where a woman alleges that her face was struck by either a vehicle or a cart.

— Thomas Deamelio, of Sharon Lynn Drive, was arrested at 6 p.m. Friday near Howard and Seventh on charges of OVI, OVI refusal and a stop sign violation, after a routine traffic stop.

— A suspicious vehicle complaint was filed at 6:23 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Madison Avenue, regarding subjects driving past his home, photographing it and yelling profanities.

— Officers responded to a possible domestic in progress at at 7:10 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Aetna Street. While assessing the situation, which appeared to be just verbal, they noticed several items of drug paraphernalia in plain view and charged Christopher Dawes and Tai Kotas for the items.

— A welfare check was performed at 7:14 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue for an allegedly suicidal subject.
