SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A Lowmiller Road, West Township, man reported at 8:31 a.m. Saturday he believes someone stolen his Sig Sauer 9-millimeter handgun.

— A Bayview Drive, Knox Township, woman reported a man was at her home intoxicated at 5:17 a.m. Friday. James Farkas, 42, was charged with assault and aggravated menacing. He was transported to the county jail.

— A Tower Road, Butler Township, woman reported at 11:48 p.m. Sept. 15, they heard a car door close while they were in the garage, but did not see anyone. Deputies checked the area with a spotlight, passing back and forth three times, but found nothing out of the ordinary. The same household reported at 2:49 a.m. Thursday they heard noises outside again. Deputies checked the yard, but found no shoe prints in the dew. The husband pointed to the neighbor’s and said it sounded like the noise came from over there, directly behind the house. He also said someone continuously set off his wife’s car alarm on Wednesday evening. Deputies checked the area near that house, but found nothing disturbed.

— Deputies checked the Damascus Friends Church at 5:43 a.m. Thursday after finding the door ajar. The door was secured after no one was found.
