Salineville man pleads guilty to theft of unemployment benefits

LISBON — John R. Parrish, 48, Hazel Run Road, Salineville, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to a misdemeanor theft charge, a lesser charge to the fifth-degree felony charge he initially faced. He requested immediate sentencing and was placed on two years community control by Judge Megan Bickerton. Parrish had been charged for taking $3,210 in unemployment compensation he was not entitled to receive between Jan. 19 and April 27, 2019.
