LISBON — A Jan. 21 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set in County Municipal Court for Jeffrey L. Harper, 49, Lake Park Boulevard, Sebring, charged with four counts of third-degree felony OVI alcohol or drugs, as well as misdemeanor citations of driving under suspension and speeding after he was stopped by the State Highway Patrol on Saturday.

A Jan. 19 preliminary hearing was set for Brandon M. Huff, 26, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, charged with assault on a correction officer, a fourth-degree felony. Huff allegedly bit Zach Martin on the hand and arm, as well as spitting in his face, while Huff was incarcerated at the county jail on Jan. 3.

A Jan. 19 preliminary hearing was set for Chastin Hobley, 27, Steubenville, charged with improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly having a loaded handgun in the center console when he was pulled over in Wellsville on Dec. 21.

Jason W. Bridge, 31, Beacon Light Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 90 days in jail and fined $1,400 for OVI third offense, driving under suspension and marked lanes.

Shelah Mrosko, 32, South Main Street, Columbiana, was fined $925, had her license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for failure to control and physical control amended from OVI first offense.

Josiah K Cook, 33, Grandview Road, Chester, W.Va., was credited with two days in jail, sentenced to an additional three days in jail and fined $375 for carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor charge which was amended from a fourth-degree felony. On Oct. 27, Cook had a loaded firearm hidden between the driver’s seat and the center console during a traffic stop.

A Jan. 25 pretrial was set for Kyle E. Melott, 26, state Route 164, Leetonia, charged with OVI third offense, OVI refusal with prior offense within 20 years, driving under suspension, failure to control and endangering children for allegedly crashing his vehicle while intoxicated on Dec. 23 with two children, ages 11 and 7, in the vehicle at the time.

Cassandra Weyant, 34, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $450 for marked lanes, distracted driving, driving under suspension and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Jacob P. Cutchall, 36, U.S. Route 62, Damascus, was fined $350, credited with 10 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for domestic violence for overturning a couch with his wife, MaryRuth Cutchall, on it on Nov. 15.

John T. Swagger, 29, Boardman, was fined $300, credited with 21 days served in jail and sentenced to an additional 59 days in jail for resisting arrest and criminal trespassing. An assault charge was dismissed. Swagger let himself into Courtney Fish’s home in East Palestine after he had been told to leave earlier on Dec. 21, then refused to cooperate with police when told he was under arrest.

A Jan. 19 pretrial was set for Matthew Patrick Soldo, Bloomfield Road, East Liverpool, cited with a seat belt violation, possession of drug abuse instrument and drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a syringe and a metal spoon, both with drug residue, on Jan. 5.

A March 4 pretrial was set for Tony A. Dillinger, 40, Fair Avenue, Salem, charged with driving under suspension and theft for allegedly failing to scan $123 in merchandise through the self-checkout line, while scanning an additional $120 in items on Aug. 5.

Giovanni C. Centofanti, 20, Superior Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for obstructing official business for having a bottle of fake urine hidden in his pants in an attempt to defy an order to take a drug test at county Municipal Court on March 11.

A March 2 pretrial was set for Eric J. Ream, 44, Baum Street, East Liverpool, charged with falsification for allegedly giving his brother’s name and Social Security number to police in Perry Township during a traffic stop on Dec. 6.

A Feb. 9 decision to the bench was set for Amber N. Jones, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, charged with fugitive from justice. Jones is reportedly sought by authorities in Washington County, Pennsylvania, for a charge of theft by unlawful taking of movable property.

A falsification charge against Louis L. Glavan, 32, Alice Street, East Palestine, was dismissed. Glavan had been accused of providing false information to investigators investigating a burglary that occurred on Dec. 10, 2019.

John S. Joy, 38, Morton Street, East Liverpool, was fined $275 for driving under suspension and failure to control.

Charles Edward McCanna, 39, Depot Street, Rogers, was fined $250 for driving under suspension and unsafe vehicle.

Gregory Allen Waterbeck Jr., 19, East North Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Citations of left of center and distracted driving against Benjamin Alan Curl, 32, Youngstown, were dismissed.

Dylan James Young, Youngstown, 18, was fined $50 for speeding and was not fined for possession of marijuana.
