Salem man charged with importuning

PERRY TWP. — A Salem man is scheduled to face arraignment this morning in Columbiana County Municipal Court on felony charges of importuning and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Alexzander Christopher Jones, 21, of North Howard Avenue, was taken into custody on the felony warrants after Perry Township police went to his residence in the city limits at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday in an attempt to serve him.

Police spoke to relatives and found Jones upstairs. The felony warrants were in reference to a case being investigated by East Palestine police. An East Palestine detective interviewed Jones at the township station and he was taken to the county jail by East Palestine police.
