LISBON — A March 1 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Daniel L. Iden, 34, Quaker Church Road, East Rochester, charged with improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, as well as misdemeanor citations of OVI first offense and a turn signal violation. On Friday, Iden allegedly had a loaded gun on his hip while driving intoxicated on U.S. Route 30 near Augusta Road in West Township.

A March 15 preliminary hearing was set for David J. Soos, 52, Walnut Street, Washingtonville, charged with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly calling Tina Davidson multiple times between April 8 and Dec. 4.

A March 2 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Melissa K. Johnson, 28, Canal Street, Lisbon, charged with a fourth-degree felony OVI and misdemeanor offenses of driving under suspension and failure to control. This is reportedly her fourth OVI offense.

Juan F. Sebastian, 28, Walnut Street, Salem, was fined $875, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense.

A March 22 pretrial was set for Emily A. Potts, 33, South Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with three counts of endangering children for allegedly leaving her boyfriend’s 6-year-old son and her 1-year-old child at home in the care of her 9-year-old daughter on Dec. 5 while she went out of town to attend a Christmas auction.

A March 4 pretrial was set for Justin L. Vasquez, 29, Allen Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence and endangering children for allegedly holding his wife, Kaitlyn Bailey down, shoving her head into the couch while she was holding their 2-year-old child in her arms. Another child was reportedly kicked during the altercation.

Johnny D. Stephenson, 64, Salineville Road NE, Salineville, was fined $300 for failure to control and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.

Austin L. VanHorn, 20, New Garden Avenue, Salem, was fined $600, credited with a day in jail, sentenced to an additional four days in jail and required 60 hours community service for underage consumption, failure to comply, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. While intoxicated on Dec. 11, VanHorn was one of two men who ran from police, refusing to comply with requests for his information and refusing to put his hands behind his back when he was told he was under arrest.

Rachel L. Jenkins, 37, Lighthouse Court, East Liverpool, was fined $350 for driving under suspension, speeding and expired registration.

A March 15 pretrial was set for Randy William Hooper, 36, Salineville Road NW, Salineville, cited with no license and a taillights violation.

Neil P. Barber, 45, Main Street, Leetonia, was fined $250 and credited with eight days in jail for drug paraphernalia for a glass meth pipe and two straws. He was further ordered to serve five days of previously suspended jail time for a prior drug paraphernalia conviction.

Hunter Ray Daniel Irwin, Oak Street, East Liverpool, was fined $230 for possession of marijuana, speeding and a seat belt violation.

An April 5 pretrial was set for Isaiah Von Rastetter, 26, Cross Street, Columbiana, charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening police while intoxicated and using vulgar language on the front porch, then refusing to cooperate when police informed him he was under arrest.

Megan Nicole Thomas, 34, North Fifth Street, Toronto, was fined $300 for speeding and no license amended from driving under suspension.

Michael G. Miller, 25, Salem-Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $350 and required 40 hours community service for criminal damaging for striking Tina Gardner’s windshield twice with a beer bottle, shattering the windshield on Jan. 15. Restitution was already paid.

An April 6 pretrial was set for Jonah Thomas, 20, Homeworth Road, Homeworth, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly being violent or fighting on Feb. 5.

Jack W. Meier Jr., 29, New Waterford, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

An April 6 pretrial was set for Kimberly M. Jackson, Old state Route 558, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.

A March 4 pretrial was set for Todd O. Dean, 41, Aetna Street, Salem, cited with drug paraphernalia for allegedly having drug-related items in his pocket when he was taken into custody on a warrant Sunday.

A March 4 pretrial was set for Les L. Crowe, 48, Cunningham Road, Salem, cited with disorderly conduct.
