Columbiana man pleads guilty to OVI, actions behind whe2l
LISBON — Clinton M. Hodge, 31, Allen Avenue, Columbiana, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; OVI and driving under suspension for his actions behind the wheel on June 5. Sentencing is scheduled for June 14, when Hodge faces up to four years in prison, a lifetime license suspension and $12,075 in fines.
Daniel Lee Wilcox, 24, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to failure to fulfill violent offender database duties, a fifth-degree felony. Wilcox requested immediate sentencing and was placed on three-years community control. As an out-of-state offender of a violent crime, Wilcox is required to notify the sheriff of his address.
Joah Tandai Leffler, 37, Sherwood Drive, Wellsville, who was recently sentenced to 18 months in prison for abduction, domestic violence and intimidation of a victim, has had his case appealed by defense attorney Colleen Hall Dailey. The case will be forwarded to the Seventh District Court of Appeals in Youngstown. The charges involved an incident over a two-day period in June of 2020, when Leffler was accused of beating, knocking down and dragging his very pregnant girlfriend, Tiffany Allen. Leffler denied it was him who harmed Allen during his sentencing hearing in Common Pleas Court in early February.
