SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A delivery driver reported being attacked by a beagle while making deliveries at a Johnson Road home in Madison Township at 1:22 p.m. Monday. The dog reportedly bit the man on the hand and the dog warden responded to talk to both the delivery driver and the dog’s owner.

— A U.S. Route 62, Knox Township, man reported at 1:17 p.m. Monday his employer alerted him someone had applied for unemployment benefits under his name. He had already filed a fraud alert with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

— A Church Hill Road, Elkrun Township, woman reported at 7:18 a.m. Tuesday someone went through her unlocked vehicle overnight, emptying the glove box and center console, while leaving the contents in the vehicle. Additionally someone popped her hood, took the oil dipstick out and tossed it on the ground. Nothing was missing and the vehicle was running fine.

— An Eagleton Road, Center Township, man reported at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday he has received multiple unemployment benefit cards and 1099G forms in the mail in the names of other people, but at his address. He said he does not know any of the people whose names are on on the cards and forms — Robert Hayes, Roger West, Roger Mendenhall, Linda Bethany and Shawn Moulder. According to the forms, Hayes received $1,294 and Moulder received $789 in benefits.

— A domestic dispute was reported at a Homeworth Road, Knox Township, home at 9:19 a.m. Friday, but everything was found to be fine when deputies arrived.

— A Riffle Road, Lisbon, man reported at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday his employer received notice he had filed for unemployment, when he is employed full time and did not apply for anything. His employer was going to notify the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

— A Hilltop Drive, Center Township, woman reported she was having problems with her daughter at their home at 1:47 p.m. Monday. Deputies responded and everyone decided to separate for the day.

— A Shady Lane Road, Center Township, woman reported her husband would not let her into the house at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday. He decided to leave for awhile to avoid any confrontation.

— Someone reportedly overdosed at a home in the Deer Run Mobile Home Park on Salem-Alliance Road, Salem at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday. A 42-year-old woman, who was breathing, was found at the home and Damascus EMS responded to provide medical assistance.
