SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— Someone was reported passed out in a vehicle on Old state Route 558 at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies found two people from the Lodge residence, who said there was company visiting and it was too crowded, so they pulled down to the dead end and slept in the car. Deputies asked to be notified if this happens again in the future.

— Someone reported two people came out of a driveway in the 2100 block of state Route 45 in Salem Township carrying something and walking south at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies and the highway patrol both checked the area without finding anyone.

— Someone reported someone standing near state Route 154 west of Lisbon with something in his hand and it appeared they might jump out in front of their car at 5:47 a.m. Friday. Deputies checked the area but did not find the person. However, Lisbon police found a man intoxicated at the Valley View gas station and he was transported home.

— A deer was reported injured after being struck by a vehicle at 6:22 a.m. Friday. The deer was put down.

— A loud explosion was reported by a resident in the East Rochester Road area at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies checked the surrounding area in West Township but found nothing disturbed or out of place.

— A door was found ajar at the Eagle Pass Golf clubhouse at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday, but there were no signs of forced entry or someone ransacking the building. Deputies secured the door.

— Someone was reported living in poor living conditions at a Salineville Road West address at 12:31 a.m. Saturday. Deputies could get no one to answer the door at the home or at the camper in the back. The information was passed onto other deputies, Salineville police and Children Services.

— Deputies checked at Kevin’s Korner, state Route 172, Hanover Township, at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday, finding the door to an unattached shed wide open and a cooker sitting outside the shed. Deputies found the lock had not been locked and all the other buildings were secure. A message was left for the owner, the cooker placed into the shed and the door was shut.
