— A suspicious person was reported at 7 a.m. Thursday on East 15th Street, but wasn’t found.
— A suspicious yellow Jeep was reported at 1:35 a.m. Thursday in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot on East State Street, but was not found.
— Officers responded at 11:06 p.m. Wednesday to Salem Regional Medical Center for an issue with a hospital security guard. A man said the security guard threatened him and swung on him while he was there receiving treatment. Officers spoke to both parties and the man was told he could write a statement at the police department if he wanted after being treated. Information will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
— A caller from a Continental Drive facility reported at 10:14 p.m. Wednesday that an intoxicated driver just left in a blue Saturn. The vehicle was found later parked at a residence unoccupied.
— An officer at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday saw a large firework being set off behind a Newgarden Avenue residence. The person was warned to stop and told further complaints would result in charges. Police were also called for fireworks on East Fourth Street, but wasn’t found.
— A reckless motorcycle was reported at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of East Third Street. Officers spoke to two males who were told to stop their actions if it was them.
— A woman reported at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday that someone broke a window and entered her rental property in the 1500 block of Cleveland. Nothing appeared to be missing, but the apartment had been ransacked.
— A fight was reported at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday at East Sixth and Hawley where a caller said two juveniles were fighting in the 1200 block and he had to separate them. One juvenile was still on the scene with his mother. The other juvenile had left.
— A person mowing grass was told at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday that he could not leave it in the road on South Lincoln Avenue. He said he would clean up once finished.
— A welfare check was requested on a city resident on Cleveland Street at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday. The man was contacted and told to contact his family.
— A woman on Vine Avenue reported at 10 a.m. Wednesday that she was having issues with an employee at work outside the city, but receiving messages on social media from what appeared to be fake account. She was also contacted Alliance Police since the offense occurred there.
— A person contacted police at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday to pass on information to the drug task force.
— Police responded at 1:19 a.m. Thursday to the 1100 block of Prospect Street for a person knocking on windows. The caller said a male was seen running into the woods.
— A Columbiana woman reported at 11:13 p.m. Wednesday that a friend contacted her and said her stolen camper was seen pulling out of a driveway in the 800 block of Georgetown Road being pulled by an SUV. Officers checked the residence but did not find the camper or anyone there.
— A caller at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday reported people screaming in the 800 block of Georgetown Road, but no one was found.
— Police at 7:53 a.m. Wednesday spoke with a caller about being threatened by someone with a video being released on the Internet if he did not pay her $8,000 from Western Union. The female has been sending texts demanding the money.
— A caller at 1:01 a.m. Wednesday said a suspicious light blue Dodge Caravan puled into his driveway in the 1200 block of West State Street. He spoke to the driver who claimed to be looking for a friend, then left westbound. The vehicle was not found
— Police at 11:29 p.m. Tuesday were told about a male on South Lincoln Avenue who hit his head off of a light pole and was walking in the road. Salem officers found the person south of the tracks in the township. An ambulance and fire department responded and he was taken to the hospital.
– Police were notified of a stolen stop sign and mailbox at the intersection of Gamble and Teegarden roads at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The county engineer’s office was notified.
– There was a report at 6:33 p.m. Tuesday of a suicidal person taking photographs in a township cemetery and making threats of harming himself. The person in question was later located in Leetonia.
