Columbus man pleads guilty to drug possession
LISBON – In Common Pleas Court, Brandon L. Richardson, 33, Columbus, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs for having fentanyl on Oct. 5, 2018. He was ordered to serve 44 remaining days of a 45-day sentence in the county jail as part of his community control.
Brandon Lee Speece, 27, West Washington Street, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to an arson registration violation and was placed on three years community control. Speece failed to register after he was convicted in an arson case in Hancock County in 2014.
Destyne D. Carner, 32, Chardon, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction and pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs. She was placed on a three-year intervention treatment plan. Carner had both oxycodone and alprazolam on July 12, 2020.
George A. Giffin, 27, Belmont Correctional Institution, has appealed the 54-month prison sentence imposed by Judge Megan Bickerton in April after he was found guilty of gross sexual imposition by a Common Pleas Court jury.
