LISBON — Richard L. Dotson, 52, Union Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 11 days in jail and fined $150 after being found guilty of obstructing official business in municipal court.
Bradford L. Kibler Jr., 35, Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $225 for driving under suspension and failure to control.
A Sep. 21 pretrial was set for Tiffany A. Clarkson, 31, Fairfield Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence. Clarkson allegedly hit her husband in the face and chest when he came to pick up their children for a visit on June 20.
Cody L. Jones, 32, Mill Street, Salineville, was sentenced to 14 days in jail and credited for 14 days served after being found guilty of obstructing official business.
A Sep. 21 pretrial was set for Richard A. Sullivan, 34, Johnson Road, Lisbon, charged with obstructing official business and criminal trespassing. Sullivan allegedly locked himself into a motel room at the Formal Motel Friday. The room was rented by another man with no connection to Sullivan. When asked to identify himself by a sheriff deputy, Sullivan gave a false name and date of birth.
Jerrid A. Kotsch, 35, Elkton Road, Lisbon, was fined $330 for driving under suspension, failure to control and seat belt violation.
An Oct. 7 pretrial was set for Joseph T. Kilgore, 29, Campbell, charged with soliciting and possession of criminal tools. Kilgore allegedly replied to an undercover advertisement posted by an undercover police officer on a website commonly used for prostitution. He agreed to meet the “female escort” at a location in East Palestine for sexual activity in exchange of $200. He was taken into custody by police and was found in possession of the phone used to reply to the ad and communicate with the officer undercover as the female escort.
An Aug. 12 preliminary hearing was set for Chelsea M. Krol, 22, Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with improper handling of a firearm. Police conducted a traffic stop on Krol’s vehicle on Sunday. Krol was asked to step outside the vehicle and allegedly state that she had a loaded gun in her purse. Krol does not have a concealed carry permit.
An Aug. 24 pretrial was set for Jonathen J. Abbott, 34, Rose Drive, Lisbon, charged with possessing a drug abuse instrument and resisting arrest. Abbott was allegedly knocking on several doors and windows of other tenants in his apartment building. A sheriff deputy made contact with Abbott at his residence where the deputy found two syringes. When being taken into custody, Abbott pulled away and flailed his legs in an attempt to resist and repeatedly smacked his head against the cruiser window.
A Sep. 2 pretrial was set for Jesse D. Schisler, 36, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with menacing. A woman accused Schisler of allegedly staring at her and her son through a window as they were walking down Franklin Avenue in Salem. Schisler allegedly opened his window to ask the woman and her son if they “had a staring problem.” When his comment was ignored, Schisler allegedly stated that he “had a knife with your neck on it.”
An Aug. 31 pretrial was set for Andre L. Owens Jr., 23, Elm Street, East Liverpool, charged with possession of marijuana, OVI first offense and speeding.
An Aug. 9 preliminary hearing was set for Joshua Keener, 29, Anderson Avenue, Wellsville, charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damaging. Keener allegedly broke into a woman’s apartment after yelling at her and attempting to hit her and went into the apartment and broke a cabinet door.
