MUNICIPAL COURT

LISBON – In county Municipal Court, Seth R. Holenchick, 28, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $1,125, had his license suspended for two years, sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for OVI second offense and speeding.

Brian E. Zordich, 28, Youngstown, was fined $1,375, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and required 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and failure to control.

Cheyenne E. Moore, 21, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to five days in jail, fined $1,050 and required 50 hours community service for three counts of theft. One was for pocketing a $50 bill by claiming it was counterfeit, then taking it to Premier Bank where it was determined not to be counterfeit, and not returning the bill to the store while she was a manager at Dairy Queen in East Palestine. The other two charges were for taking $100 from the deposit bag on Aug. 30 and $80 on Aug. 23.

A Sept. 30 pretrial was set for Nathaniel L. Mango, 31, Whinnery Road, Salem, cited with possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a clear bag with a crystal-like substance inside on Tuesday. Mango was fined $1,055, had his license suspended for two years, credited with three days in jail, sentenced to an additional seven days in jail and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension, a turn signal violation and two counts of OVI first offense.

Floyd Eugene Sorrell, 66, West Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $250 and required 20 hours community service for engaging in prostitution for paying a woman for sexual acts in exchange for money and then making arrangements for sex with a woman for $60 from undercover officers on July 21. Charges of possessing criminal tools and permitting drug abuse on his property were dismissed.

David Lee Howell, 41, Common Street, East Rochester, was credited with 25 days served, sentenced to an additional five days in jail, fined $500 and required 40 hours community service for two counts of domestic violence for pushing his girlfriend Julie Stevens and hitting her in the back of the head, as well as choking his father, slamming him into the wall and punching him in the arm five to 10 times on Aug. 29.

Justin E. Johnson, 41, Eastlake, was credited with 12 days served in jail and required 40 hours community service for assault amended from domestic violence for pushing Jinniska B. Marti onto the bed, choking her and threatening to kill her at her Park Court, Columbiana, address on Feb. 19.

A Nov. 4 pretrial was set for Stephine J. Chrystal, 40, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly getting into Brian Chrystal’s face, chest bumping and pushing him several times while he tried to walk away while they were exchanging custody of their son at Sparkle Market in Salem on Sept. 14.

Brock D. Mullins, 32, Hamilton Road, East Palestine, was fined $250, credited with a day in jail and required 40 hours community service for assault amended from domestic violence on May 6 for choking Nicole Woods, biting her on the cheek and threatening to kill her or members of her family if she called police.

Timothy N. Thompson, 33, Youngstown, was fined $300, credited with a day in jail and sentenced to an additional 29 days in jail for three counts of drug paraphernalia. A charge of drug abuse instrument was dismissed. Thompson had two paper folds and a digital scale in his backpack on Dec. 20.

A Nov. 22 pretrial was set for Timothy Johnson, 40, Roller Coaster Road, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.

Lance J. Steffel, 66, Barclary Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and credited with three days in jail for disorderly conduct for standing intoxicated in the street, state Route 14 in front of Duke and Duchess on Sunday. An obstructing official business charge for refusing to give police his name was dismissed.

Joseph Alan Pedro, 56, Maplewood Drive, Columbiana, was fined $325 for driving under suspension and traffic control devices.

A Nov. 22 pretrial was set for Michael R. Ashbaugh, 23, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly howling and making animal noises outside on his porch on Wednesday, despite a neighbor and then police asking him to quiet down and then switching to shouting obscenities at the neighbor for calling law enforcement.

Shannon L. Cunning, 44, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for driving under suspension.

Vincent Syvertsen, 23, West Chestnut Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

A Nov. 22 pretrial was set for David Michael Liptay, 20, state Route 14, Columbiana, cited with driving under a 12-point suspension and use of an unauthorized plate.
