SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A woman reported someone was walking around in her mother’s yard on Lusk Lock Road, Elkrun Township, at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies found the woman walking north on the road and learned she was involved in some sort of Halloween game. Deputies checked to see if she had any warrants and warned her against trespassing onto private property even while playing a game.

— At 12:03 a.m. Thursday someone reported a person walking around and looking in the windows of the old IGA in Salineville that is being remodeled. Deputies checked the doors and windows, but found no one in the area.

— An alarm was reported in Hodge Construction, state Route 558, Unity Township, at 5:42 a.m. Thursday. The owners arrived and said a new system was installed a week ago and they were still working out some issues with it.

— A Grant Street, Center Township, woman reported at 4:19 p.m. Thursday someone entered her apartment while she was away and she found “pottery dust” all over the carpet, spilt coffee and urine. She had already cleaned the apartment before deputies arrived and believed the spots she pointed out could have been anything.

— A Kirk Road, Fairfield Township, man reported someone took 20 of the 31 chickens he had his daughters are raising. The rabbit pens also were found opened but all the bunnies were present. There was no blood or feathers indicating an animal may have done it.

— Deputies checked the Rogers Feed Mill when a security alarm sounded at 6:11 p.m. Thursday.

— A domestic dispute was reported at Van Pelts Farm Market on Salem-Unity Road, Columbiana, at 3:50 p.m. Thursday. Deputies learned it was an argument between a grandmother and her grandson. The grandson was given a ride back to his home in Columbiana.
