Salem

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Sharp Avenue at 1:04 a.m. Sunday in reference to a prowler. Officers searched the area, but did not find anyone.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 7:29 p.m. Saturday in reference to a neighbor dispute in which the caller reported a neighbor was yelling at her daughter for being on her property, which started an argument. Both people were advised to return to their homes and calm down.

— Officers responded to the Waterworth Memorial dog park at 6:55 p.m. Saturday in reference to juveniles who had broken glass bottles in the parking lot. Officers were unable to find any juveniles and the fire department responded to clean up the glass.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 6:38 p.m. Saturday to assist medical personnel with a possible drug overdose. Officers were unable find any drug abuse instruments. The person was ultimately transported to the hospital.

— An East Third Street resident reported at 9:18 a.m. Saturday possible harassment. The officer advised her of her options.

— An officer responded with medical personnel to the 300 block of Ohio Avenue at 5:49 a.m. Saturday in reference to a natural death. A coroner’s investigator was consulted and a local funeral home responded to the home.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of East State Street at 4:35 a.m. Saturday in reference to three stray dogs that were trapped in a resident’s sun porch. Due to the agitation of the dogs, officers contacted the Columbiana County dog warden to handle the situation. The resident agreed to let the dogs stay on the porch until the dog warden could respond.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East Third Street at 11:05 p.m. Friday where a caller said they were tired of watching someone else’s kids and wanted to know their options. Officers advised the caller of their options.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 4:13 p.m. Friday after receiving multiple complaints of a young juvenile riding in a vehicle without a proper car seat. Officers spoke with the person picking up the juvenile and advised they were not permitted to leave the day care without a proper car seat for the juvenile. The adult returned to the day care with a proper car seat.

— An officer responded to the Salem Dodge dealership at 2:17 p.m. Friday where someone had provided false information on a credit approval to purchase a vehicle.

— A patrolling officer at 7:57 a.m. Friday observed graffiti beneath the east end of the West State Street overpass.

Leetonia

— Smoke complaint was reported at 11:42 p.m. March 12 in the 200 block of Ridge. Police responded and couldn’t locate anything.

— A female caller reported at 2:21 p.m. March 12 that a neighbor’s dog just had attempted to attack her in the vicinity of High Street. In a panic state, she had escaped without injury. Upon police arrival, the dog was inside and no one appeared home.

— A handgun-wielding male neighbor approached two unknown men on his property and advised they leave immediately at 4:33 p.m. March 11. The men, who were with a roofing company, went to the female caller’s home and notified her as they had been called out to her residence.

Columbiana

— Police responded at 7:58 p.m. March 8 to a residence in the first block of Wind Rose Court for a welfare check. The female occupant was having a medical emergency, so Beaver Township EMS transported her to a hospital.

— Richard Braham, of Columbiana, was served at 12:30 p.m. March 8 with a arrant out of Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office in the 500 block of West Park Avenue.

— A male subject reported receipt of a New York EZ pass toll scam sometime before 3:09 pm. March 6.

— A female subject reported a private property crash at 8:06 p.m. March 5 in the 100 block of South Main Street.

— A female subject reported a possible protection order violation at 8 a.m. March 5 in the first block of West Park Avenue.

— A male subject reported at 3:17 p.m. March 4 that a fraudulent charge had been made to his bank account.

— Ricky Roberts, of Ashtabula, was cited at 6:34 p.m. March 3 for driving under suspension, fictitious registration and drug paraphernalia, after a traffic stop on state Route 14.

— A male subject reported at 9:51 a.m. March 3 that a private property crash occurred in the 300 block of West Salem.

— Stephen Fisher, of Columbiana, was arrested at 9:24 a.m. March 2 on charges of OVI, improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and having weapons while under disability after a traffic crash near South Timberline Drive and state Route 14.
