SALEM POLICE REPORTS

— Daryl Fink, 77, Salem, was cited for failure to yield after his vehicle in the 2400 block of East State Street struck a vehicle driven by Christina Frits, 47, Lisbon, at 12:43 p.m. Friday. No injuries were reported.

— Officers responded to the area of West State Street at 11:41 a.m. Friday for a reported reckless vehicle. The vehicle was located parked at a residence on West Wilson Street and officers advised the owner of the complaint. The owner appeared to be fine and did not realize there was an issue with their driving until officers arrived.

— Officers responded to the 2400 block of Edgewood Drive at 11:21 a.m. Friday for a report of a woman receiving scam phone calls. The caller advised that she received a video call from a man who exposed himself to her, and that she had had multiple calls from different numbers that she believes are coming from overseas due to a language barrier. Further investigation showed the calls to be scams and officers advised the caller to block the phone number and ignore any potential scam calls in the future.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 9:37 a.m. Friday for a report of a possible missing person. The caller advised that she had let a woman move into her residence, but she hadn’t been home for three nights nor been to work in those three days. Officers obtained the woman’s information, and a BOLO was sent out to area department to check on the woman.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fifth Street at 2:05 a.m. Friday for a reported domestic dispute. Both the husband and wife alleged that an argument ensued and pushing and shoving occurred. No visible injuries were present, but they were advised to avoid each other for the night and try again tomorrow.

— Officers on patrol in the area of South Ellsworth Avenue and Aetna Street at 10:31 p.m. Thursday observed a vehicle committinga traffic violation, conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke with the driver ,Brani Pasco, 36, Alliance, who had an active warrant through the Carool County Sheriff’s Office. Officers detained her, confirming the warrant and K-9 Chaz was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotic odor. Officers located the contraband in the vehicle and transported Pasco to the police department for processing prior to transportation to the Columbiana County Jail charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

— Officers responded to Centennial Park at 6:44 p.m. Thursday for a report of juveniles yelling obscene things toward other people in the park. Officers spoke with a group of juveniles and advised them that abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

— Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 6:19 p.m. Thursday regarding a man following him from Boardman. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Union Avenue at 6:11 p.m. Thursday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised her neighbor was setting off fireworks near her back door. Officers spoke with the neighbor who advised that he had tossed a couple of firecrackers into a small fire pit in his side yard. The main issue between the two neighbors is parking and they were advised to contact the landlord to see if anything could be done about the parking issue as the vehicles are legally parked. Both parties agreed to avoid each other from now on.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 5:21 p.m. Thursday for a speak with officer report. Officers spoke with the caller about some concerns with some property and it was later determined that the property in question had been misplaced.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 4:51 p.m. Thursday for a report of an unattended child in a vehicle. The caller advised that the person in question had left four juveniles in a running vehicle parked in a fire zone but had left prior to officers’ arrival.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 4:27 p.m. Thursday for a reported reckless operator. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 4:19 p.m. Thursday for a report of irate people. The caller advised that several people were arguing inside the store over water dispensers. Officers spoke with one person who advised that they had gotten into a verbal argument with another person who cut the line for water. The other half had left the store prior to the officers’ arrival. Officers also spoke with employees who advised that nobody was to be trespassed at that time.

— Officers contacted a person by phone at 4:11 p.m. Thursday to deliver a message. Contact was made with the person in question and the message was delivered.

–Officers responded to the 400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 2:22 p.m. Thursday for a single vehicle accident. The vehicle had been travelling eastbound when it failed to negotiate a curve continuing eastbound through a guardrail before going airborne and coming to rest upside down in the creek. The driver was transported to the emergency room by ambulance with unknown injuries. The vehicle was removed from the creek by Sinsley’s Towing and a citation is pending for the driver.

PERRY TOWNSHIP REPORTS

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Fillmore Avenue at 7:35 p.m. Thursday for a reported hit and skip. It was found that a vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a stop sign, a telephone pole anchor cable, and a garage door. The caller found the damage when he got home from work and photos were taken of the damage.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of West State Street at 7:12 a.m. Thursday for a report of two loose dogs that had attacked livestock. Officers found two deceased goats and were unable to locate the two dogs.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Andrew Avenue at 2:36 a.m. Thursday for a reported medical call. Officers assisted EMT and the person in question was transported.

— Officers on patrol in the area of U.S. Route 62 and state Route 45 at 2:28 a.m. Thursday observed a vehicle pulled off the side of the roadway. Officers found the vehicle to be unoccupied.

— Officers on patrol in the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 1:11 a.m. Thursday for a reported suspicious vehicle. Officers found the vehicle to be secured and unoccupied.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of state Route 344 for an open burning complaint at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday. Officers and the fire department advised the resident that the permitted size was three feet square, and the fire was extinguished.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Depot Road at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday for a reported dispute. Officers found that nothing illegal took place.

— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Jackson Avenue at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday to attempt to contact a man on behalf of the Sebring Police Department regarding an incident in their jurisdiction. Officers were unable to contact them but left a note on their window.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Pigeon Road at 6:54 p.m. Tuesday to assist the fire department with a reported brush fire. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the area of Egypt Road at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a tree in the roadway. Officers were able to push it off the roadway and road crews will be notified to remove the tree at a later date.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Stewart Road at 9:17 p.m. Monday for a report of an unwanted person. A man was said to have shown up at his ex’s residence unannounced and entered. The man then took her shoes before leaving the property. Officers were able to contact the man who was advised to have no contact with the caller and that they were being trespassed from the property.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Allen Drive at 1:13 p.m. Monday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised they were worried about her ex being mean while gathering his belongings and wanted an officer there. Officers advised that the department does not do civil standbys without a court order and the caller advised that she understood and did not need anything further.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 10:19 p.m. April 20 for a reported noise complaint. Officers spoke with the resident advising them of the complaint.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Conser Drive at 3:45 p.m. April 20 to assist with a medical call. Officers stood by until they were transported.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Jones Drive at 12:29 p.m. April 20 for a report of a dog in the backyard of the residence. Officers stood by until the owner was located and the dog was picked up.
