Salem
–Officers responded to the area of Southeast Boulevard at 12:20 a.m. Thursday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with both parties and found that the matter was verbal in nature only. Both parties separated for the night.
–Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with both parties and found that everything was OK.
–Officers responded to the first block of Western Reserve Road at 10:48 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a tree down on the roadway. Officers observed a large tree lying across the roadway. The street department was called and removed it from the roadway.
–Officers responded to the area of South Lincoln Avenue and Franklin Avenue at 10:34 p.m. Wednesday for a report of debris in the roadway. Officers cleared the debris.
–Officers responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 9:17 p.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious vehicle parked behind a business. Officers spoke with the driver who advised that they were just resting for a while, and that they were just passing through while traveling out west. She was advised to move her vehicle to a more public location.
–Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 7 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. One man was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail and $140 was seized as evidence.
–Officers responded to the 1900 block of Southeast Boulevard at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday for an ongoing property line issue. Both parties were advised of a resolution for the issue.
–Vincent Rosati, 34, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his southbound vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Nicholas Brewer, 21, Salem, at 3:03 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
–Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday for a report of theft. The caller advised that someone stole a check from their former residence and cashed it at a local business. All information was gathered. She was advised that the matter needed to be handled by the department where she used to live as it was in her jurisdiction.
–Officers responded to the 500 block of East State Street at 11:18 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that a person was making customers feel uneasy and wanted them trespassed from the store. The caller signed a trespass form, and officers spoke with the woman notifying her of the trespass notice and she refused to sign the form.
–Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday regarding issues in their vehicle. Officers provided them with options for dealing with the situation.
–Officers responded to the 200 block of North Cunningham Road at 4:26 a.m. Wednesday for a reported parking complaint. The caller advised that they were unable to exit a parking lot because they were blocked by another vehicle. The vehicle ended up being located prior to officers’ arrival and moved.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 4:21 a.m. Wednesday for a report of lines down in the roadway. Due to officers being tied up on a call assisting Perry Township officers, the fire department arrived first to handle the issue, and Ohio Edison was contacted.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 3:48 a.m. Wednesday to assist Perry Township officers.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of West State Street at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an elderly woman asking for money. The caller advised that the woman was stranded, and officers spoke with the woman, who advised that her ride had left her there, and while officers were on scene her ride returned and picked her up.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that someone had walked down the driveway of a vacant residence. Officers checked the area, but nobody was located.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a woman who allegedly made comments about wanting to harm themselves. The fire department and EMT responded to speak with the woman who voluntarily was transported by EMT.
— Officers observed two vehicles stopped at the intersection of South Cunningham Road and Butcher Road at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday and were advised of an incident which occurred outside the city. Both drivers just wanted to move on and were sent on their way.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that there were people living in a tent behind the house. Officers spoke with multiple people in the yard and a resident who advised everyone had permission to be there. Officers advised her that people can’t live in a tent behind the house and advised her to take it down and she complied without issue.
— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Southeast Boulevard at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a young juvenile being left unattended. The caller advised that their father had almost hit a juvenile wearing just a diaper on his way to her house and that the child gets out of their house often but was unable to provide a house number. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate any juvenile.
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday for a complaint of a suspicious person. The caller advised his ring camera had caught an unknown man coming onto their porch and snap a picture of the door lock. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Perry Street at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday for a reported theft. The caller advised that they believed someone had gotten into the residence and stolen a red metal lock box with $400 in it. While gathering information, the caller found the lock box and nothing else was needed.
Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Harrison Avenue at 2:43 p.m. Sunday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the homeowner who advised that he had accidentally dialed 911, and everything was fine.
— Officers responded to the area of East Pine Lake Road at 10:46 p.m. Saturday for a report of people yelling. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
— Jerri Brown, 42, Salem, was cited for assured cleared distance ahead after his vehicle struck the rear of the vehicle driven by Dylan Simmons, 20, Limaville, on North Lincoln Avenue at 4:55 p.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of West State Street at 1:30 a.m. Saturday for a reported flashing light. Officers checked the area and did not observe any flashing light.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Devonshire Drive at 8:33 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person in question.
— Officers spoke to a woman by phone at 11:32 a.m. Friday for regarding issues her elderly mother has been having with her niece that she let move in. The caller was advised of the eviction process.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 8:24 p.m. Thursday for a reported possible domestic. Officers spoke with the woman who advised that there was a verbal dispute between her and a male visitor. She advised that everything was okay, and she didn’t need anything. Officers didn’t see any visible marks on either person.
— Officers in the 1900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue located a man sleeping in a vehicle with an active warrant out of Columbiana County at 9:21 a.m. Thursday. The man, whose name was not listed, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers responded to the 1900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:56 a.m. Thursday for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers found a man and a female juvenile sleeping in the vehicle, and found that the man, Will Ward, 18, New Waterford, had an active warrant out of Columbiana County. Officers took Ward into custody and had the female juvenile’s mother respond to pick up her daughter. The juvenile was released to her mother, and Ward was handed off to a sheriff’s deputy for transportation to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers on patrol in the 1900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 5:42 a.m. Thursday located a suspicious vehicle. Officers found the vehicle to be unoccupied.
— Officers responded to the area of Georgetown Road at 5:25 a.m. Thursday for a repor ted reckless driver. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
–Officers responded to the 100 block of Blossom Lane at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday for a reported 911 hang-up call where a man stated he was kidnapped. Officers located and spoke with the caller, and elderly man who was confused, and spoke with the staff who advised that they would keep an eye on him.
Lisbon
— Officers responded at 4:26 a.m. to West Washington Street on Saturday to the report of a possible gunshot near the Juvenile Court. After patrolling the area, no one was spotted nor was any more shots heard.
— Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Saturday at 10:58 p.m. on North Market Street for no headlights. Police subsequently arrested the operator of the vehicle, Randall Richards, 48, of Lisbon, and charged him with OVI.
— Officers responded at 2:09 p.m. on Thursday to Hornsby House on Rose Drive to conduct a standby for EMT while a subject was being pink slipped. Police stood by until they were no longer needed.
— Officers responded to West Washington Street at 12:28 a.m. on June 10 for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, the resident advised that it was just burnt food.
— Officers responded at 8:20 p.m. on June 8. Officers Police made contact with the subject who admitted to smoking marijuana but stated that they were fine and not having any issues. The subject answered all questions, cognitively, and was not deemed a threat to themselves.
— An officer was flagged down by Smith Oil employees while on patrol at 9:16 p.m. on June 7. An employee reported a white Toyota vehicle being driven by a white male had failed to pay for gas before driving off. Employee was unable to give further description to assist in locating. Officers checked the surrounding area for the vehicle and were unable to locate it.
— Officers responded at 8:28 p.m. on June 7 to Steubenville Pike Road to assist the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with an arrest of a wanted subject. Upon arrival, police located the subject, Savanna L. McKee, 29, of Lisbon, and took her into custody without incident. McKee was transported to the Columbiana County jail complex by a deputy.
— Officers responded to Sherman Street at 12:07 a.m. on June 4 to speak with an individual who found signs of attempted forced entry into an unoccupied structure. The incident is under investigation.
East Palestine
— Officers responded at 11:26 p.m. to Garfield Ave. to a noise complaint on Monday. Officers heard nothing loud in the area but after waiting on scene heard loud music coming from behind the residence. Officers found an unoccupied radio and spoke with the occupants of the home about the complaint.
— Officers received a report at 6:46 p.m. on Monday from a resident on W. North Ave. to a report from a woman who advised her mother-in-law had threatened to kill her and her mother.
— Officers received a report at 5:59 p.m. on Monday from a resident on W. Main St. who reported that someone had entered his residence without his permission, obtained a key for his ATV and then stole the ATV sometime overnight.
— Officers responded at 10:17 pm. On Sunday to a report of someone knocking on doors and running away on E. Adams St. Officers checked the area but could not locate the subject.
— Officers responded at 9:23 p.m. to Tiger Smoke and Vape on N. Market after receiving a report that someone had broken into the store and stole items. Officers later arrested Andrew Freed, no address or age provided, and charged him with breaking and entering.
— Officers received a report at 4:06 p.m. on Sunday from a resident on East St. who advised he had found objectionable material on his 11-year-old son’s cell phone.
— Officers responded at 3:26 a.m. to a disturbance on Alice St. At the scene, officers found an injured a male who was later transported to an area hospital by EMS. Following an investigation, Dillion Gloeckner, no age or address provided, was arrested and charged with four counts of furnishing alcohol to underaged persons, two counts of assault and one count of sexual imposition
— Officers responded at 11:22 p.m. on Saturday to W. Martin St. regarding a possible domestic. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded at 8:29 p.m. on Friday to Highland Ave. regarding a fireworks complaint. Officers spoke with residents who said they would stop.
— Officers responded at 3:42 p.m. to S. Market St. for a possible overdose. A male was transported to an area hospital.
— Officers responded at 11:40 a.m. to state Route 170 regarding a theft on Thursday. The resident advised that he returned home to find his door had been pried open and bottles of prescription medication were missing. A report was taken.
— Officers spoke to a woman at 9:46 p.m. at the station on Wednesday regarding a custody dispute. She advised that her sister was refusing to return her juvenile daughter to her. Officers spoke to the sister who agreed to bring the child to the station and she was returned to her custodial mother.
— Officers responded to a report at 1:12 a.m. on Wednesday of a couple arguing on W. Clark St. The parties had already gone inside when the officer arrived.
