Maureen Zoe Jackson

SALEM- Maureen Zoe Jackson, 78, of Salem died Sunday morning, Jan. 17, 2016 at her home. She was born April 22, 1937 in Charleston, W.Va., the daughter of the late Violet (Miller) Turley.

Maureen and her husband, James, owned and operated the Jackson Enterprises Heating and Cooling for 15 years and serviced the Chester, Newell and East Liverpool area. She was a member of the Faith Chapel Fellowship.

Her husband, James R. Jackson Sr., whom she married April 10, 1971, preceded her in death on March 4, 2005. A son, Willis Reed Jr., and her adoptive parents, Alonzo G. and Julia Zoe (Gritten) Boyles, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Kirkpatrick of Grafton, Ohio, and David (Larena) Reed of East Liverpool; two step-sons, Robert (Shelli) Jackson of Steubenville and Richard Jackson of Chester, W.Va.; three daughters, Debra Jackson of Chester, W.Va., Susan “Kim” Kirkpatrick of New Cumberland, W.Va., and Susan Myers of Salem; two sisters, Mary (Homer) Stephens of Leon, W.Va., and Betty Wendell of Pratt, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith Chapel Fellowship with Pastor Larry Paxson and Pastor Mike Hileman officiating. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell, W.Va.
