Betty Jane Dyke

CINCINNATI — Betty Jane Dyke, 96, of Lehman Road, Cincinnati, formerly of Negley, died Jan. 18, in Cincinnati.

Born Jan. 1, 1923, in New Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Diana Catherine (Wittenberger) Persing.

Mrs. Dyke resided in the Negley area for most of her life, moving to Cincinnati in 1996. She had been a member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine.

She was preceded in death on Nov. 28, 2003, by her husband, Raymond J. Dyke, whom she married on Aug. 30, 1943.

Survivors include two sons, David J. (Sandra) Dyke of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and Daniel (Karen) J. Dyke of Cincinnati; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with her family to officiate. A private burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
