Donzel “Don” R. Gregory

COLUMBIANA – Donzel “Don” R. Gregory, 78, died Jan. 11 in Orlando, Fla.

Born July 26, 1940, in Webster Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late John and Goldie (Saunders) Gregory.

Mr. Gregory, a 1958 graduate of Greene High School, furthered his education at the Allied Institute of Technology in Chicago, Kent State University, Youngstown State University and Salem Trade School. He was employed as a regional sales manager at Renold Inc., and previously worked at Wean Engineering and L.W. Nash in East Liverpool. He was a 56-year member of Mount Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima.

Survivors include his wife, the former Kaye Brooke, whom he married on March 17, 1962; three children, Mark Gregory, Chris Gregory and Kim Gregory (Jeff) Goodson; four grandchildren; and six sisters, Betty Baker, Marilyn (Ernie) Galgozy, Cheryl (Michael) Bugnone, Regna Harrison, Deanna Gregory and Carole Caynor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market St., North Lima, and one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to the church in Donzel’s name.
