Phyllis Irene (Wilt) Waskivich

SEBRING — Phyllis Irene (Wilt) Waskivich, 80, of Sebring, died Thursday at Altercare of Alliance.

Phyllis was born on Dec. 27, 1939 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Reichart) Wilt. Phyllis lost her mother at a very young age therefore being raised by Kenneth’s second wife, Bernadine.

Phyllis worked at Grithe Brothers Boxing Company in Sebring and the Harvest Inn in Homeworth. She worked as a cook and bartender at the American Legion Post 76 retiring in 1995.

Phyllis is survived by three sons, Cary Schaffer of Sebring, Kevin (Laurie Stark) Schaffer of Salem, and Douglas (Kim) Schaffer of Westville Lake; two brothers, Thomas Wilt and Kenneth Wilt, both of Sebring; a sister, Deborah (Jeff) Flickenger of Beloit; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Besides her parents Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, and a son, Dirk.

A private family interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Sebring. The family invites friends to join them on Tuesday at noon at American Legion Post 76 in Sebring for a pot luck luncheon in Phyllis’s honor.
