Dale L. Lautzenheiser

ALLIANCE–Dale L. Lautzenheiser, devoted husband, dad, son and brother, 46, of Alliance, passed away Friday afternoon, May 22, 2020 at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center.

He was born on October 29, 1973 in Salem, Ohio to Dean L. and Louise J. (Denny) Lautzenheiser.

Dale began mowing at 14, riding his John Deere around Damascus. From those early days he built an industrious family business, Dale’s Lawn Care Inc., servicing three states.

He was a 1992 graduate of West Branch High School and was a member of Damascus Friends Church. Dale was very meticulous, a hardworking man who enjoyed traveling, and cars. But most of all he loved spending time with his loving family, including their family trips.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Joy (Maye) Lautzenheiser whom he married Sept. 23, 1995; son, Cody (Carli) Lautzenheiser; daughters, Anissa (Brenden) DeSanzo and Madison (Dale Miller) Lautzenheiser; first grandson due in August, Rowen Dale Lautzenheiser; his mother, Louise; sister, Lanette (Larry) Elasivich; brother, Larry (Cindy) Lautzenheiser; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be held at noon Friday, May 29, 2020 at Damascus Friends Church. Pastor John Ryser will be officiating. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Damascus Friends Church. Friends and Family with the last names A-E may visit from 4 to 5 p.m.; F-L, 5 to 6 p.m.; M-Q, 6 to 7 p.m. and R-Z, 7 to 8 p.m. For the safety of the Lautzenheiser family and visitors, please adhere to social distancing, bring your own mask and do not linger.

In lieu of flowers, Dale’s family suggests making a memorial contribution to the Dale Lautzenheiser Family Missionary Scholarship in his honor. Please make checks payable to DFC with Dale Lautzenheiser Family Missionary Scholarship in the memo line, mailed to P.O. Box 205 Damascus, OH 44619.
