Together again

SALEM – Marlynn Kay Peters, 82, died Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her home. She was born July 19, 1937 in Harrisburg, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph George and Isaphine (Furlong) Ochkie.

Marlynn had worked as a finisher at Salem Pottery then later worked at A&P Packing. She attended the Church of Nazarene in Salem. Marlynn was a member of Gold Wings Road Riders, was active with the North Brevard Shrine Club in Titusville, Fla., and she loved to cross stitch, loved gardening with her roses, playing bingo and doing puzzles.

Her husband, Dale Edward Peters whom she married Feb. 27, 1954, preceded her in death May 31, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Tammy (Richard) Metzgar of Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Chessie (Mark) Navyac, Devan (Angela) Peters, Shawna Marshall and Shelby Metzgar; five great-grandchildren, Garrett Navyac, Bryce Navyac, Sophia Peters, Davis Peters, Camille Peters; her K9 baby, Sweetie; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Peters of Columbiana.

Besides her parents and husband, her son, Dewayne Peters; and two brothers, Joseph George Ochkie and Russell Merle Ochkie, also preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Highland Park. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Stark Memorial. For the safety of the Peters family and visitors, please practice social distancing, bring your own mask and don’t linger.
