Carl Wesley Ellenberger
Carl Wesley Ellenberger, age 80 of Minerva, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 23, 2020. Carl was born in New Geneva, Pennsylvania on August 18, 1940 to Uriah and Ruth (Eberhart) Ellenberger.
Carl was a 1958 graduate of Masontown High School. He served in the navy for 4 years as a second class petty officer with a rank of E-5 during the Vietnam era. Before owning his own business, B & E Meats, he was a controller for Armour Foods. Carl was affiliated with Faith Fellowship Church. Carl loved watching football and was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. He enjoyed being on his pontoon boat at the lake. His life revolved around his family, and he cherished his granddaughter and great grandsons.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Sherrie (Tim) Endicott of Homeworth, OH; a son, Troy Ellenberger of Chicago IL; a granddaughter, Payton (Dakoda) Fisher of Magnolia; two great-grandsons Teegan and Waylon; and a brother, Dale Ellenberger of Canton, Michigan.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Karen Ellenberger.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the memorial service which will be held at Bartley Funeral Home, 205 West Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio, on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Chet Howes of Faith Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. All of the current face masks, social distancing, and building occupancy rules will be observed according to the Health Department guidelines.
