Wilfred D. Everett ‘Rabbit’

NORTH BENTON — Wilfred D. Everett ” Rabbit,” age 85, of North Benton passed away of natural causes and entered into his heavenly home on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance, Ohio.

He was born September 22, 1935 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Fred Everett and Olivia (Solomon) Everett. He resided in the Alliance area all of his life.

Survivors include his daughters, Lynne (Rob) Kidd, Lee (Dick) Benner: sons, Dana (Susan) Everett, Dwaine ( Kristen) Everett; sisters, Mary Ann, Joan, Janet, brother; John; Grandchildren, Dillon Kidd, Justin Benner, Aiden Everett, Andre Everett, Austin Everett, Nicholas Everett, Reed Everett, Oneal Everett; and special friend Gladys.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myra (Price) Everett who passed away April 20, 2001, she was the love of his life. Brothers, Earl, Bill, Skip, Fred Jr.; sister, Barbara; daughter,Pam; and grandson, Corey.

Wilfred was a 1953 graduate of Sebring High School. He proudly served our country in the Ohio National Guard. He worked as a dedicated lineman for Ohio Edison in Alliance for 43 years. He retired from Ohio Edison in 1994. After retirement he worked at Everett transport. Wilfred was a member of North Benton Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Sebring Masonic Lodge and Tadmor Temple Shriners.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, as well as a beloved friend who would help anyone that was in need. He enjoyed being a jokester and making people laugh. He frequented Wal-Mart, Carnation Mall, and various Alliance restaurants. He enjoyed living life to the fullest. His hobbies included; hunting, trapping, skeet shooting, flying radio controlled airplanes, golfing, collecting golf balls, farming, attending the county fairs, trips to Florida, visiting Amish Country, playing his organ, and helping his daughter at her local car wash.

A funeral service will take place Saturday February 27, 2021 at 11:15 am at North Benton Presbyterian Church with Reverend Herb Goetz officiating. A Masonic service will be held at 11am. The family will receive friends and family 2 hours prior from 9am-11am.
