Once again, N.Korea wants gifts before talks

North Korean officials have done the predictable. They are insisting that before there can be any talk of reining in their nuclear weapons and missile development programs, the regime must be granted new concessions by the United States and other countries.

Specifically, Pyongyang wants a peace treaty to replace the cease-fire, still in effect, that suspended hostilities in the 1950-53 Korean War.

No. President Donald Trump and other world leaders should not let themselves be played for suckers. There should be no talk of granting North Korea anything it wants until the arms buildup comes to an end.
