YOUR SIDE: The Readers Take Over

A public thanks for a kind stranger

To the editor,

On Wednesday, a snow plow knocked my mailbox into my ditch on SR 45. I went in the ditch to retrieve it, but I found I couldn’t get back out. Thanks to the kind man in the red car who saw my plight and stopped. He not only pulled me out of the ditch, but he put my mailbox back on the post.

This is the kindness I no longer expect from strangers, so he renewed my faith in mankind. He deserves lots of roses and chocolate on Valentines Day!
