School chief Bratten to step down

Mr. Bratten and the board are just elitist citizens (people who work and care for the city) that want a name for themselves, now he'll go somewhere else and oversee their improved state ratings, manage their budget better than it has been in many years. If he took the board with him, we might get back the ugly public bickering and distraction that prevented our schools from performing "excellent", as occurred for the first time under Bratten and the recent slate of board members.

Yes, he should take the best board we've had in a long while with him. Are you serious?

I think Mr. Bratten did very well for this district, and as mentioned everything was pretty non-eventful during his tenure, which generally means something went right.
