MCCTC Adult Career Center students open restaurant

CANFIELD - The Adult Career Center students enrolled in the Culinary Restaurant Management program at MCCTC are gaining first-hand experience operating a restaurant at The Bistro located in MCCTC for evening hours.

The Bistro at MCCTC is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. through Oct. 31.

This marks the first time The Bistro will serve dinner to the public. The restaurant, which is typically operated throughout the year by students in the high school program, will now serve as an opportunity for students in both programs to gain valuable, real world experience.

"We're very excited to add dinner service to the hours at The Bistro. Not only will the community be able to enjoy a great meal, but our Adult Career Center students will learn so much about the restaurant industry from this experience," Kathy Schlarb, Adult Career Education Supervisor, said.

The Adult Career Center students are led by chefs Sean Kushma and Stephen Grant.

For more information, please contact Kathy Schlarb, Adult Career Education Supervisor, at 330-729-4100.
