Joseph L. “Oz” Galbreath

ROGERS - Joseph L. "Oz" Galbreath, 75, of Scotts Mill Road, died at 7:19 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Boardman Campus, after becoming ill at home.

Born Aug. 25, 1937, in Youngstown, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mabel M. (Anderson) Galbreath.

Mr. Galbreath had been employed as a welder burner for area companies, and had also served as an instructor with the Columbiana County Vocational School.

In addition to his wife, the former Sandra Young, whom he married April 16, 1960, he leaves two daughters, Amy Verbanovic of Boardman and Rachel Galbreath of New York City; two grandchildren, and a sister, Patricia Matevich of East Palestine.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
