Toys for Kids Concert

set in East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL - Randy and Jen's Toys for Kids Concert begins at 9 p.m. today at the East Liverpool Motor Lodge. Proceeds go to the Elks Lodge No. 258 Children's Christmas Charities for the Christmas morning give away. The concert features the Zuke Band, Jim Sabatini, Fred Ludovici and MRM, Harmon Creek, Okie Ross and Zach Paxton. There is a $10 donation at the door.

Connie Randolph book signing event scheduled

COLUMBIANA - The Connie Randolph book signing event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday during the craft show at St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St. Randolph, a resident of Salineville, will be available to sign copies of her books, "Casper Joe," "The Wagging Tales of Casper Joe," and "The Fur-Raising Adventure of Casper Joe."

SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. Next week's sponsor is the staff of the Salem Junior-Senior High School. The menu offers soup, grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, fruit salad, fresh vegetables and pie. More sponsors are needed. ODOT?plans signal work on U.S. 62 in Salem

SALEM - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced that work will begin Monday on the traffic signals at two U.S. Route 62 intersections in Salem. The U.S. Route 62 traffic signals at state routes 45 and 14 will be upgraded. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. ODOT's contractor for this $332,682 project is Cornerstone Electric Inc. of Salem. The completion date is May 2013.

Cosmetology senior class plans fundraiser Tuesday

CANFIELD - The cosmetology senior class at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center will host its annual fund raiser, the Hair and Nail-a-thon and bake sale, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at The Salon at MCCTC.

Seniors will be offering haircuts, blow dries, manicures and pedicures for $8. For information or to make an appointment call Cosmetology Instructor Lisa Argiro at 330-729-4000 Ext. 1310.

Columbiana County Archives closed for holiday

LISBON - The Columbiana County Archives and Research Center, 129 S. Market St., will be closed Nov. 21, 22 and 23 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The center will reopen at 9 a.m. Nov. 27.

SALEM - All 1968 Salem High School classmates are invited to plan the 45th-year reunion. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 at the SHS Alumni Office.

'Meet the Indians' set at Southern Local gym

SALINEVILLE - "Meet the Indians" begins at 6 p.m. Nov. 28 in the Southern Local High School gym followed by the mandatory state preseason parent meeting. The following winter passes will be available for purchase following the meeting; adult girls basketball, $45; adult boys basketball, $45; student pass, $20; athlete pass, $10; high school family, $125; junior/senior high family, $170; junior high; $15 senior citizen pass are available at the superintendent's office.

Salem 1972 breakfast planned at Salem Hills
