-Jennifer White of Salem reported Thursday her car was being worked on at a residence on Gavers Road, Wayne Township, and she discovered it was missing. White called back to say she located the car at the home of Mitch Lacey, Bethesda Road. Deputies arrived and found the car filled with scrap and the ignition had been removed. Lacey said Gary Cress gave him permission to take the car and scrap it. The deputies were unable to contact Cress at the moment.

- Sean Devine is in the process of having a rental property remodeled on Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, and on Thursday his worker discovered it had been broken into.

- A deputy was called to the American Health group home on Beard Road, East Palestine, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, where a man had been assaulted by another resident and was taken to the hospital to be checked. The staff also wanted the other resident to be examined at the hospital and he agreed to go.

- Domestic violence charges were filed Thursday against Thomas C. Summers, 33, Haiti Road, Salineville, for allegedly punching his girlfriend, Amanda Monigold, in the face. This occurred after Monigold said she slapped Summers because he was spitting in her face for chastising him for failing to get his daughter up for school.

- A state Route 45, Salem, man reported Thursday tools were stolen from his pole barn.

- A McCormick Run Road, Madison Township, man reported Thursday receiving threatening text messages from a man who wants to fight him. The deputy left a message for the caller about the possible consequences of his actions.

- A Grant Street, Lisbon, woman called about a possible prowler at 7 p.m. Thursday, but deputies did not find anyone lurking about.

- Craig Huckshold, East Liverpool Road, Madison Township, reported Wednesday a hydraulic dump dual-axle trailer was stolen from his property.
