North Lima church offered free Thanksgiving dinner

NORTH LIMA - The Calvary United Methodist Church at 12062 South Ave. Extension will host a free Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 22. Dinner will be served at 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The meal includes turkey, stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes, relish tray, rolls and butter, pie and drink. Reservations must be made prior to Nov. 19 by calling 300-549-2588.

Cookie Walk and Craft

Sale set at Winona church

WINONA - The Hazel Circle of the Winona United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Cookie Walk and Craft Sale from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 1 at the church, 32114 Winona Road. A wide variety of cookies will be sold for $4 per dozen.

Advent Concert planned

at Mount Union Dec. 1

ALLIANCE-The public is invited to an Advent Concert at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Dewald Chapel at the University of Mount Union. Timothy McLeod is the special guest. Those attending are asked to bring a canned or non-perishable food item. For more information call Barbara Lyons at 330-823-2397.

Mission Connection Cookie Walk set for Dec. 8

SALEM - The public is invited to the Mission Connection Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave. A variety of cookies will be available at $4 per dozen. Proceeds will benefit the Ladies Mission Connection and missionaries.

'Story of Christmas' planned at Canfield Christian Church

CANFIELD - "The Story of Christmas" will be presented from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 and 15 at the Canfield Christian Church. Children ages 3 to 7 are invited and must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 for children and free for adults. Lunch will be provided. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 330-533-2246.
