SALEM- Edward E. Blythe, 77, of Salem passed away on Sunday at Salem Community Hospital. Edward was born at home in Washingtonville on Dec. 19, 1934, a son of the late Earl and Alverta (Sheen) Blythe. He was employed and retired from the former Schnell Tool and Die later known as Salem Blanking after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his loving wife Gloria (Libert) Blythe of Salem; his children, Charles Crank, Renee Solomon, Denise Glancy, Dwayne Crank and a son from his first marriage, Ray Allen Blythe; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Nancy Nelson, June Carlisle and Marlene Chestnut; and a brother, Thomas Blythe. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Crank.
