SALEM - Janice Lee Cherry, 74, of Salem, died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday in Salem.
She was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Alliance, the daughter of the late Henry A. Sr. and Rose E. (Pucci) Maxim.
Mrs. Cherry had been a phlebotomist at the Houston Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle M. (Pete) Dangelo and Brenda L. (George) Miller, both of Salem; two sons, Wayne A. (Chris) Fennis of Salem and Bruce M. (Susan) Fennis of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Henry A. Maxim Jr. of Salem and Joseph R. (Michael) Maxim of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Franklin Square Cemetery.
