Christmas boutique planned

SALEM - A Christmas boutique will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church, 244 S. Broadway Ave. Baskets, wreaths and gifts are available. A cookie walk, sponsored by the Faithful Hearts, offers homemade cookies and candies at $4 per dozen or three dozen for $10.

'Giveaway Day' set today

SALEM - The Tri County Church of Christ, 18900 U.S. Route 62, will host a "Giveway Day" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Items to be given away include non-perishable food, clothing, shoes, coats, housewares, toys, games, etc. Coffee, cookies and punch will be served and one door prize awarded.

Winona Cookie Walk set

WINONA - The Hazel Circle of the Winona United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Cookie Walk and Craft Sale from 9 a.m. to noon today at the church, 32114 Winona Road. Cookies will be sold for $4 per dozen.

'Soup to Go' offered in quarts

WASHINGTONVILLE - Several varieties of homemade "Soup to Go" in quarts are available Dec. 5 at the Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St. Cost is $6 each. The drive-thru will be open from 4 to 6 p.m. For information call 330-427-2035.

Cookie Walk set in Canfield

CANFIELD - Calla Community Church will hold its Christmas Cookie Walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the church, 6482 W. Calla Road. Cookies are $4.50 per dozen and can be mixed and matched. Church cookbooks will also be sold. For information call 330-533-6007.

'Sounds of Christmas' featured

LISBON - Hope Christian Fellowship, located across from Beaver Local High School at 13320 state Route 7, will present "The Sounds of Christmas 2012" at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 and at 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 9.

Slated as a celebration of the season and the Savior, this year's production will feature a 60+ voice choir, vocal ensembles, soloists, sign language team, children's ensemble, and musical-comedy sketches all woven together with narrative. Church plans 'Walk with Jesus'

COLUMBIANA - The Columbiana First Christian Church will present "Walk With Jesus," a 30-minute interactive Christmas drama, from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5-7. During the program, guests will be guided through scenes portraying stories from the life of Jesus Christ. While you're waiting for your journey to begin, you are invited to explore the Bethlehem Marketplace, where you can experience the sights, sounds, tastes, and culture of the world in Jesus' day. March for Life bus offered

ALLIANCE - The Alliance First Friends Church is sponsoring a chartered bus to the 40th annual March for Life to be held Jan. 25, 2013, in Washington, D.C. The initial pick-up point will be at the church at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 24. The bus will travel to Damascus to pick up more riders at 11:55 p.m. The expected return time is 2 a.m. Jan. 26. An additional pick-up point may be added in Waynesburg and Columbiana, if there is enough interest. Reservations include the bus trip, a DC metro ticket, and dinner. Adult reservations are $65; $55 for ages 12 to 20) and senior citizen (over 60); and $50 for 11 and under). No bus seats will be reserved without full payment. The reservation deadline is Jan. 7. SALEM - The public is invited to the Mission Connection Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave. A variety of cookies will be available at $4 per dozen.

Pancake breakfast planned

COLUMBIANA - A community pancake breakfast will be served from 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 16 at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road. Cost is $2 for adults and $1 for children. A Christmas Advent service follows at 10:30 a.m.

Live nativity scheduled

SALEM - A live nativity is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14 at the Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church, 1095 Newgarden Ave. Christmas readings will be presented every half hour. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served.

Help for divorced offered

WINONA - Help for the divorced and separated, and help for those dealing with grief during the holidays is available at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Winona Friends Church, 4615 Whinnery Road. For information call 330-222-1551.

North Lima cookie sale set

NORTH LIMA - The Calvary United Methodist Church of North Lima will hold its annual cookie sale from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 8. COLUMBIANA - An anointing and prayer ceremony begins at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St.
