LISBON- Wayne A. Cusick, 80, of state Route 18, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at his home.
Mr. Cusick was born Jan. 29, 1932, in West Point, Ohio, a son of the late O.H. "Pete" and Elda (Malone) Cusick.
A 1951 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Wayne worked as a dragline operator. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Weirton.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Serish Cusick, whom he married Nov. 24, 1999; daughters, Cynthia (Dennis) Hillberry of Lisbon and Pamela Davis of Ravenna; sons, Steven (Julie) Cusick of Weirton and Gerald (Chris) Cusick of North Carolina; sisters, Ellen Lutz of Kentucky, Jane (Bob) Elsner of Indiana and Shirley (Bob) Thirion of Lisbon; brothers, Lee (Janice) Cusick of Arizona, Allen Cusick of Indiana and Glen Cusick of Lisbon; four step-daughters; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by son, Douglas Cusick, and his step-mother, Grace Cusick Powell.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lisbon Baptist Temple, 6428 Lisbon Road, Lisbon, with Pastor Charles Cusick officiating. Private burial will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, 215 West Lincoln Way, Lisbon.
