SALEM - Ruth Walton Heineman Taylor, 93, of Salem, died at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Salem Community Hospital emergency room.
She was born March 31, 1919, in Salem, the daughter of the late Lawrence C. and Helen (Andre) Walton.
She was a 1936 graduate of Salem High School, had worked as an assistant to the late Dr. L. W. King and as a dental assistant to the late Dr. M. M. Sandrock.
Ruth was a member of the Salem First Christian Church, the Gold Star Sunday school class, the CWF of the church and the Goshen Harmony Club. She was also an associate member of the Central Christian Church of Bradenton, Fla.
Her first husband, Keith Heineman, whom she married Sept. 28, 1946, preceded her in death May 4, 1980; and her second husband, Zenno R. Taylor, whom she married Aug. 4, 1984, preceded her in death, March 7, 1986. A son, Bruce W. Heineman preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1990 and a brother, Richard C. Walton also preceded her.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Christine Heineman of Salem, Benjamin (Elysia) Heineman and Aaron Heineman, both of Chicago; and two great-grandchildren, Dustin Rogers and Gracie Galiffo, both of Salem. Her caregiver of 29 years, Barbara S. Lippiatt of Salem, also survives.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be Grandview Cemetery.
