- A Youngstown man reported at 8:50 a.m. Thursday he had concerns about his ex-wife possibly taking their children to Florida for a period of time, which he said is in violation of the custody agreement. Deputies explained custody issues are civil matters and he should speak with his attorney if his ex-wife leaves with the children. He did not like the answer and became belligerent with the deputy, but later left a voice message noting his attorney told him to call deputies and file a report if she in fact left.

- A state Route 558, Leetonia, man reported at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday two of his foster children were fighting. Deputies spoke to the boys, ages 15 and 14, who said it started when they threw a pen at each other, then one threw the other's boots. They started yelling and one grabbed the other by the face. Deputies explained domestic violence laws to them both and they agreed there would be no more problems.
