South Range 54, East Palestine 52

EAST PALESTINE - Senior Jake Arsuffi scored a season-high 15 points to lead South Range past East Palestine, 54-52, Friday.

Robby Seman contributed 13 points, while Mason Miller and Garrett Anderson each had 10.

The Raiders took a 17-9 lead in the first quarter on the way to victory.

South Range improves to 8-11 overall and 7-7 in the Inter-Tri County League upper tier, while East Palestine moves to 9-9 and 8-6 ITCL.

Austen Reiser led the Bulldogs with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Nick Monteleone added 13 points and Steve Parker eight. Billy Bibby dished out five assists.

South Range also won the reserve game, 43-29. Josh Fromel scored 17 points for the Raiders. Luke Cope had 12 for the Bulldogs.

Both teams play Leetonia next - at East Palestine tonight and against South Range on Tuesday.

Crestview 63, Lisbon 55

LISBON - Crestview had four players score at least 12 points as the Rebels rolled over Lisbon, 63-55, Friday.

Collin Gilbert led the charge with a game-high 18 points. Josh McDade followed with 15 points and three steals, Derek Bable 12 points and nine rebounds and Robert Logan 12 points. Evan Nentwick dished out five assists and Austin Eskra made three steals.

Crestview used a 16-9 third-quarter run to take control at 40-32.

Austen Rutecki topped the Blue Devils with 16 points and seven rebounds. Josh Craig had 14 points and nine rebounds and Josh Liberati 11 points and four assists. Matt Spencer added eight points and Avery Andric had four assists.

Crestview improves to 13-6 overall and 9-5 in the Inter-Tri County League upper tier, while Lisbon falls to 6-12 and 4-10 ITCL.

Crestview also won the reserve game, 55-52. Eric Lloyd scored 17 points for the Rebles. Jared White had six for the Blue Devils.

Both teams play Tuesday as Crestview hosts Beaver Local and Lisbon entertains Rootstown.

Louisville 63, West Branch 56

BELOIT - West Branch stayed close early, but struggled after halftime as the Warriors fell 63-56 to Louisville on Friday.

West Branch (5-14, 3-10 NBC) was down 16-13 after one and just 28-27 at the half, but the Warriors were outscored 18-9 in the third to fall behind 46-36. That proved too much to overcome, as Louisville picked up just its second Northeastern Buckeye Conference win of the season, improving to 4-15 overall and 2-11 in the league.

Beau Taylor led the Warriors with 12 points. Jarian Thomas added 10 and Jacob Griffith had eight points and eight rebounds.

For Louisville, Joe Crank scored 16 and Drake Hoover had 11 points and six rebounds.

West Branch won the junior varsity game 62-52.

West Branch travels to Marlington on Friday.

HANOVERTON -Zac Hagy scored 30 points, including five three-pointers, in leading Mineral Ridge past United, 80-36, Friday.

Corey Phillips added 19 points and Ryan Nutter 12.

Mineral Ridge took second place in the Inter-Tri County League upper tier with a an 11-3 record. United drops to 2-16 overall and 2-12 ITCL.

Mineral Ridge led 22-9 in the first quarter and 39-15 at halftime.

Brandon Miller topped United with 11 points.

The Eagles won the reserve game, 42-38, as Devin Minard scored eight points. Mike Eaton had 10 for the Rams.

United will host Southern Local on Tuesday.

BERLIN CENTER - Western Reserve scored 30 points in the second half to down Lowellville, 49-44, Friday.

Nolan Snyder topped the Blue Devils with 16 points. Payton Snyder and Dalton Korda each had 10 points.

Western Reserve improves to 6-12 overall and 3-10 in the Inter-Tri County League lower tier, while Lowellville is 12-6 and 9-5 ITCL.

The Blue Devils led 19-16 at halftime and 35-28 after three quarters. Nick Ballone scored 14 of his game-high 31 points in the fourth quarter for the Rockets, but Western Reserve shot 10-of-14 from the foul line for the victory.

Western Reserve will host Lordstown on Tuesday.

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Springfield Local capped its ITCL upper slate in perfect style with a 55-24 win over Jackson-Milton on Friday.

Springfield, the champions of the ITCL upper tier, finished with a 14-0 league mark.

Mark Schuler led the winners with 12 points. Eoghan Bees added 11 points.

The Tigers host Youngstown Christian on Tuesday.

SEBRING - Luke Griffith and Kyler Woodward had 17 points each to power Southern to a 55-36 win over Sebring on Friday.

Southern finished the ITCL lower tier slate with a 9-5 record. The Indians ae 14-6 overall. Woodward added 14 rebounds, while Griffith added four assists.

Jared Shilot had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Sebring falls to 4-13, 2-12.

Dylan Mick led the Trojans with 17 points.

Sebring won the jayvee game, 28-26. Josh Zmuda had nine points for the winners. Caleb Gotschall had 10 for the Indians.

Southern is at United on Tuesday.

COLUMBIANA - Leetonia outscored Columbiana 10-3 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 42-38 win Friday.

Cody Valentine led the Bears with a game-high 11 points. Trent Ferry added nine.

The Bears were trailing 35-29 after three quarters before making a comeback.

Leetonia improves to 9-11 overall and 6-8 in the Inter-Tri County League lower tier, while Columbiana falls to 3-14 and 3-9 ITCL.

Kyle Bryan topped the Clippers with 10 points.

Leetonia will play at East Palestine tonight, while Columbiana travels to McDonald on Tuesday.

COLUMBIANA - Megan Cutlip scored a career high 28 points to lead Columbiana to a 76-37 win over Leetonia on Friday in girls basketball action.

Columbiana improves to 18-2 and 12-2 in the ITCL lower tier. Leetonia falls to 8-12, 7-7.

Khylea Fullum backed up Cutlip with 17 points and Emily Witmer and Baylie Mook contributed 14 and 13 points respectively for the Clippers.

Columbiana is at South Range on Monday.
