COLUMBIANA - Patricia Ann McCuen passed away at Hospice of the Valley in Boardman, on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013.
Pat was born July 26, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, only child of Richard and Marion (Heyer) Rummel.
Pat leaves her husband David, whom she married on Aug. 19, 1967; three sons, Darin and wife Shelley McCuen of Bainbridge, Ohio, Daniel of McAllister, Mont., and James and wife Richelle and grandson Jamison of Columbus, Ohio.
Pat was a graduate of Kent State University. Prior to retirement she was employed as a realtor in Solon, Ohio and assisted her husband in the office of his business.
For many years Pat volunteered at Hospice of The Western Reserve in Cleveland and the Geauga County Humane Society.
Pat's love of animals was evidenced with her loyal history of adopting rescue dogs into her home and she was an active member of the Columbiana County Humane Society. Being an avid reader, Pat also founded the Firestone Farms Book Club. She was also an amateur potter, creating many beautiful ceramic objects until the arthritis in her hands made working with clay too painful.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Greenford Christian Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sean Kelly officiating.
The family requests that in lieu flowers memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley or Hospice of The Western Reserve.
