SALEM - Ethel Arlene (Baird) Yaeger, 92, of Salem, died at 1:25 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at the Essex of Salem II.
She was born March 28, 1921 in Greenford, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl and Florence (Weingart) Baird.
Ethel was a graduate of Greenford High School. She had worked as a physical therapist and attended the Salem First United Methodist Church.
Her first husband, John Besze, preceded her in death in 1999; her second husband, Virgil Eugene Yaeger preceded her in death Sept. 15, 2012. A daughter, Carol Besze Applegate; a son, Louis Besze; and two stepsons, Donald and Richard "Dickey" Yaeger also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Gerald (Mary) Besze of Texas; daughter, Cathy Besze (Jim) Flinn of St. Mary's, Ohio; stepdaughter, Pam Clark of Poland; grandchildren, Kelley Applegate (Tony) Byer of Celina, Ohio, Gary (Lorry) Applegate of St. Mary's Ohio, William Warren (Heather) Applegate III of Celina, Ohio, Chad Besze of Florida, Jacob Besze of Hawaii, Jane Besze Dimakos of Missouri, Polizois (Paulie) Dimakos, Chase and Cullen Flinn, Laura (Tony) Ramirez, Susan (Todd) Wallace and Mary Lisa (Bandon) Howell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with her son, Deacon Jerry Besze officiating. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
