Breakfast set for Ladies of AT&T-Ohio Bell

SALEM - Ladies of AT&T-Ohio Bell Telephone Operators will meet for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

'First Christmas' offered at NW church

NEW WATERFORD - The New Waterford United Methodist Church will present "The First Christmas" at 7 p.m. Friday at the church, 46925 state Route 46. A free dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Reservations are requested by calling 330-457-7436.

Concert set at South Side Middle School

COLUMBIANA - The South Side Middle School's sixth, seventh and eighth-grade choirs will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Columbiana High School auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

Lisbon Roundball fund raiser continues

LISBON - Tickets are still available for the Lisbon Roundball Club's fund raiser. One hundred tickets will be sold at $50 each. The grand prize is $2,500. Tickets may be purchased at boys/girls home varsity games or at roundballclub@outlook.com.

The winner will be drawn at halftime of the last boys varsity basketball game. The winner not need to be present to win. If all 100 tickets are not sold, the grand prize will be 50 percent of the total tickets sold.

ABLE GED classes to resume Jan. 7

SALEM - Columbiana County Career and Technical Center ABLE will begin classes for new GED/Basic Skills students on Jan. 7 at locations in Lisbon, Salem, and East Liverpool. Classes will be held at the CCC&TC from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m.; at the Salem Memorial Building from 1 to 4 p.m.; and the 517 Broadway Professional Building in East Liverpool from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Returning students should report to their class beginning the week of Jan. 13. For more information call 330-424-9561 Ext. 190.

Classic movies to be shown at library

COLUMBIANA - Classic movies from the 40s, 50s and 60s will be screened, free of charge, from 2 to 4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month in the Salchow Room at the Columbiana Public Library, 332 N. Middle St. The next movie is slated Jan. 8.

Blood pressure checks set in Columbiana

COLUMBIANA - The Salem Area Visiting Nurse Association will conduct free blood pressure screenings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday of the month in the Mowen Room at the Columbiana Public Library. No registration is required.

Lunch planned at Leetonia Library

LEETONIA- The Friends of the Leetonia Library are inviting the public to a holiday luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the library. Anyone wishing to bring a covered dish should say so when registering. To register call the library at 330-427-6635.
