LOUISVILLE - The Salem girls basketball team pushed Louisville into overtime, but the Leopards got the upper hand to knock out the Quakers 47-42 in Northeastern Buckeye Conference action on Saturday.
Trailing by five at halftime, the Quakers bounced back and threatened with scoring from Megan Lehwald and Haley Carner, who both led the Quakers with 10 points each. Chloe Cheresne had eight points and nine rebounds.
The Leopards are 5-10 overall and 5-4 in the NBC.
The Quakers turned in an extra effort in the junior varsity game, winning 51-50 in double overtime.
The Quakers host Carrollton Wednesday.
