Leetonia outduels Sebring

LEETONIA - Leetonia defeated Sebring 36-32 Thursday at home, bringing its record to 8-12 and 6-8 in the Inter-Tri County League lower tier.

Emily Schneider led Leetonia with 10 points, four rebounds and one assist, followed by Haley Scoville with nine points and 11 rebounds.

For Sebring, Sydney Smith led with 10 points.

In jayvee action, Leetonia won 30-29. Trisha Ogle led Leetonia with nine points and Jessica Jackson led Sebring with 10.

Leetonia travels to Youngstown Christian Monday.

COLUMBIANA - Avery Pennington had 15 points as Heartland Christian's girls basketball team beat American Spirit Academy 55-30 on Thursday.

Madison Durenburger had 15 points for the Warriors. Sarah Roberts added 11.

Ginny Burgess backed up Heartland with 14 points.

Heartland is 6-12 and is at McDonald on Saturday.

COLUMBIANA - Baylie Mook had 21 points to lead Columbiana to a 75-40 win over McDonald on Thursday in ITCL lower tier action.

Columbiana is 16-2 and 12-1 in the league and will be at Beaver Local on Monday.

Bri Gingher added 13 points, eight steals and four assists for the Clippers. Emily Witmer posted 14 points, four rebounds and five steals.

Columbiana won the jayvee portion 62-11. Hailey Tohm ha 15 points for the Clippers.

BERLIN CENTER - Western Reserve racked up another ITCL lower tier win by topping Wellsville 70-48 on Thursday.

Aleah Hughes led the Blue Devils (14-5, 12-1) with 20 point, 11 rebounds, eight steals and seven assists. Paige Ewing added 13 points, while Lauren Falsaca had 12 points and five assists.

Ashley Bennett had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers (12-7, 8-4). Brittany Clendenning chipped in 13 points.

Western Reserve won the jayvee portion, 33-19. Heather Lude had 13 points for the Blue Devils. Destiny Crow and Rasheeda Kalam had eight points each for Wellsville.

LISBON - Lisbon kept it close with ITCL upper tier co-leaders Springfield, but ended up on the losing end of a 59-51 score on Thursday.

Bailey Felger and Callie Ford led the Tigers with 16 points each. Jillian Tabaka added 11 points.

Springfield is tied for the league lead with South Range with one league game left.

Taylor Siefke and Karlee Pezzano had 11 points each for the Devils. Jenna Dickson added five rebounds. Pezzano added four steals, while Tiffnay Ketchum had 10 points and four assists.

Lisbon is 7-12 and 2-10.

Springfield won the jayvee game, 38-24. Kasey Kohler had nine points for the Tigers. Kayla Dickson and Alexa Bell had eight points each for the Devils.
