Michele Marie Curran and Jeffery Lee Cornell were united in marriage on Dec. 21 at the First Church of Christ in East Liverpool. The Rev. Willard "Chuck" Adkins officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Craig and Robin Curran of Lisbon. The bridegroom is the son of Jeffrey and Lisa Cornell of Lisbon.
The bride wore an Adorae Louise gown designed by Sottero and Midgley. The fit and flare satin gown had a chapel-length train and was heavily ruched with a jeweled band accentuating the empire waist. She also wore a cathedral-length veil, and carried a bouquet of white roses and blue orchids.
Melissa Curran, the bride's sister, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids included Natalie Curran, the bride's cousin; Victoria Cornell, the bridegroom's sister; Kate Jeffries of Pittsburgh; Anastasia Spystya of Washington, D.C.; Christin Lucas of New Waterford; and Emily Kasecamp of Kent. They wore cobalt blue satin gowns and carried bouquets of white roses and blue orchids.
Jamison Hartley, the bridegroom's brother, served as the best man.
Groomsmen were Trevor Campbell of Lisbon, Cody Owens of Bluffton, N.C., Chuck Lucas of New Waterford, and Kyle Reeder and Billy Lucas, both of Rogers.
The newlyweds graduated in 2007 from Beaver Local High School. The bride has a master's degree in history, currently working on her doctorate, and is employed at Kent State University.
The bridegroom is a union laborer employed by Stevens Construction Company.
A reception was held at the Salem Golf Club.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Hocking Hills after spending the holidays with family and friends. They reside in Lisbon.
