LISBON - The Lisbon Baptist Food Pantry at 6428 Lisbon Road will be open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Attendees are to bring identification.
Heartland Christian hosting 'Got Talent' this Friday
COLUMBIANA - Area students will sing, dance and play instruments during Heartland's "Got Talent" on Friday in the school's auditorium.
The event, sponsored by Heartland Christian School's senior class of 2014, begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Cost per ticket at the door is $4 per person or $12 for families.
Food distribution planned at Winona Friends Church
WINONA - A food distribution is slated from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Winona Friends Church, 4615 Whinnery Road. For more information call 330-222-0200. The distribution is open to families and individuals living in the United School District.
Dinner theater scheduled at NW United Methodist
NEW WATERFORD - The annual dinner theater begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925S S. State St. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for 12 and under.

Historical Society holding membership meeting
SEBRING - The Sebring Historical Society is holding its annual membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Strand Theater.
This year celebrates the society's 25th anniversary. President, Dery Zeppernick with present "25 Years of Mysteries and Treasures: The Making of a Historical Society." Cost is $3 for non-members which can be credited toward the cost of a membership. Upcoming events will be discussed and volunteers are needed.
Heroes and Halos Vendors/Craft Fair scheduled
COLUMBIANA - The Heroes and Halos Vendor/Craft Fair is slated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 29 at Firestone Park, pavilion one.
Heroes and Halos is a local organization that provides awareness, education, and outreach programs to the public regarding individuals with special needs and disabilities.
Vendors in attendance include Premier Jewelry, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Avon, 31, PartyLite, Young Living and Tastefully Simple.
A snack table will be available. Proceeds from the snack table will benefit Columbiana Boy Scout Pack 16.
There also will be a silent auction table and 50/50 raffle tickets. The raffle winner will be drawn at 4 p.m.

Leadership class planning Stand Down, giveaway
LISBON - The Leadership Columbiana County class of 2013-14 is coordinating a Stand Down and food giveaway for homeless, low-income and veterans of Columbiana County.
The goal of the Stand Down is to give homeless, low income and at-risk veterans and their families who do not have permanent housing free access to a meal, shelter and housing referrals, medical and mental health services, and other resources.
The local Stand Down is slated from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5 at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, 9364 state Route 45.
The term "Stand Down" was used in the military, during times of war, to remove exhausted combat units requiring time to rest and recover from the battlefield to a place of relative security and safety.
Today, community-based intervention program designed to help the nation's estimated 67,000 homeless veterans "combat: life on the streets."
Breakfast buffet served by Salem Masons Saturday
SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2.
The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea.
The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.
No tickets remain for 'Dance with the Stars'
LISBON - The Lisbon Alumni Association has announced that a total of 270 tickets have been sold for the "Dance with the Stars" alumni event on April 26 at the Salem Golf Club. No more reservations are available and no tickets will be sold at the door.
Columbiana kindergarten registration is April 9-11
COLUMBIANA - Columbiana Exempted Village Schools will conduct kindergarten screening/registration from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. April 9, 10 and 11. Call for an appointment, after April 1, at 330-482-5355 Ext. 34506.
Bring your child along with the following items: official birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization record, custody papers, if applicable; proof of residency in Columbiana (a utility bill or driver's license with current address on it).
Registration will not be complete until all required forms are provided.
Open enrollment applications must begin at the superintendent's office, 700 Columbiana-Waterford Road (330-482-5352 Ext. 34204) and be completed before kindergarten screening/registration day.
